Nvidia has announced their GTX 1070 GPU for $379, offering performance that they say is greater than a GTX 980Ti for a much lower price.

Overclockers UK has shown the UK pricing of the GTX 1080 Founders Edition, confirming that it will cost a minimum of 619.99 in the UK.

· yer and when the AMD R9 295x2 which is a 2 year old card out performs it for £300, also a bit of a pisser is that the new card is $699 usd which when converted it £481.41 :( so you could save a £100 and buy it from USA and have it posted for less than you can buy it for in the UK.

a bit better then my 980ti and uses less power but the price
but with the new kid on the block the 970, 980 and 980ti prices will be dropping

If you are in the market for a new GTX1080 you might want to wait for the after market coolers to start rolling out, As well as being £100 more it appears the standard reference edition (founders edition) just cant take the heat and has a thermal throttling issue that the reference cooler just cant handle.

The 1080 looks like a cracking card but the wife is never going to let me get one so close to me getting my 980ti
